Vania Radeva – the enigmatic Director of the Bulgarian Cultural Institute in Bratislava – was the first person I had the pleasure to meet upon my arrival in Slovakia. Archaeology and comparative religious studies from the Oxford University, are among her numerous academic degrees. What strikes most about Vanya is her friendly welcoming attitude and passion for facilitating the cultural exchange between Slovakia and Bulgaria.
