The Eyes of God

October 6, 2013

The Eyes of God – this is how this formation in the ceiling of Prohodna cave, which lets light in it – is called.  Awesome. This is the longest cave passage in Bulgaria – 262 metres (860 ft) long. Already on my travel agenda. 100 miles away from Sofia.

Oh, these cherry tomatoes

September 18, 2012

Between banking, ACCA-ing, dancing and numerous other activities, my favourite paraglider found time this summer for growing cherry tomatoes…

…which apart from being very tasty turned out excellent decorations on many occasions, among which this salty cake, that couldn’t help making it to my blog … Home grown. Home made.

Folk Dance Festival

March 31, 2012

Sixth Bulgarian Folk Dance Festival – 31 March 2012, Sofia – an incredibly energizing atmosphere. All were a delight to the eyes, so the jury must have had a hard time deciding on the winners. Grand applause for Folklorika Dance Club.

Unique forms

August 31, 2009

Rila_B_GanevaThe Seven Rila Lakes – each a wonder with its unique form and all a spectacular sight from the very top. Rila_Lakes_1The lake I can’t take my eyes off is The Eye.

No matter where one looks – up or down – there are peculiar forms all around. Photos: Boryana Ganeva
