The Eleshnitsa Monastery

The Eleshnitsa monastery ‘Assumption of the Virgin Mary’, established in the late 14th or early 15th century, is situated at around 4 km north of the village of Eleshnitsa, Sofia Province, in the Balkan Mountains, at the foot of Murgash peak.

Tutrakan is a town in northeastern Bulgaria, situated on the right bank of the Danube, to which if I would have hardly travelled unless there was the enthusiasm of a good friend. Coming across charming turtles, fishermen’s neighborhood and the Danube was worth it.
