Actors, books, writers …

January 29, 2019

The Art Theatre initiative “Famous actors reading contemporary Bulgarian writers” brought the favourite Bulgarian stage and film actress (40+ years on the stage) Tatyana Lolova to Bratislava on 29 January 2019 where she presented Maria Laleva’s book “Life on the Rocks“. Discussing art and life with art people is a very hearty experience. More on the book after I read it.

Campus Coworking

January 15, 2019

Coworking space with a view and atmosphere in the very heart of Bratislava – Campus Cowork. Campus’ upcoming events can be found here >>>

Aliens? “It just seems completely inconceivable that there could be that many different alien civilisations all deciding to produce the same kind of signal in the same way – that just seems highly improbable.”

Kapustnica

January 8, 2019

Cuisines across countries differ and yet sometimes they have a lot in common. I can’t help dropping a line on the Slovak dish Kapustnica [cabbage soup], made with sauerkraut, mushrooms and various spices. Traditionally eaten on Christmas, but Slovak restaurants offer it year around. Delicious. Must try in Slovakia!
