Biela noc

September 29, 2018

Nuit Blanche (Biela Noc) Bratislava 2018 was a spectacular event, showcasing the importance of art in public space and popularizing contemporary art. With artists from around the world, every installation was offering a different sensation – be it immersing in colourful rain or floating through space and time. My experience in 2 minutes.

In Komárno, Slovakia’s principal port on the Danube, one can taste both Hungarian and Slovak flavours. The charming town is situated at the confluence of the Danube and the Váh rivers.

Europe Square in the town’s centre represents building styles typical of different European countries – Wales, Vatican, Ireland, Italy, Transylvania, Iceland or Greenland. The Millennium fountain contributes to the pleasant multi cultural atmosphere.

Hronský Beňadik

September 14, 2018

Hronský Beňadik is best known for the Benedictine abbey, founded in 1075 under the name “Monasterium Ecclesia Sancti Benedicti”. The church of the monastery contains valuable works of art – a Madonna sculpture from the 14th century, a wall-painting presenting the legend of St. George, a spectacular altar.
