Epic Hike to Pajštún Castle

April 30, 2018

When spring is in full bloom, a 25 km mountain hike with Green Hat Tours from Rača to Pajštún Castle and Stupava all through the Small Carpathians, is an amazing experience. The greenery all around is stunning and the views – unforgettable.

Michael, the Green Hat guy on the photo, is an experienced mountain guide and you learn a lot of things about the history and the current situation in Slovakia along the way.

When I was a kid, I loved John A. Hunter’s African Bush Adventures. My favourite one was “White Hunter”, translated in Bulgarian, as “Around the Kenyan Savanna”, so years after, there I am right there. Incredible nature views and most friendly local people.

If I have to summarize in just one word Uganda, referred to as the the pearl of Africa by Winston Churchill, it would be greenery. And it happens to be so green, as they have a rule that if you cut a tree you have to plant three instead.

Sun & Moon

A glass of raspberry wine in great company and a cheesecake without cheese are only some of the numerous delicacies one can choose from at “The Sun & Moon” [Слънце Луна] bistro in Sofia. Healthy food, friendly staff and homey atmosphere – the main ingredients for quality time! Loved not only by vegans!
