Devín Castle

December 9, 2017

Devín Castle – one of the oldest castles in Slovakia, standing on a massive rock hill above the confluence of the Danube and Morava is an awesome landmark. Just a few kilometers from the city center of Bratislava, it does an excellent Sunday stroll around. And the monument of Saints Cyril and Methodius near the Church of the Holy Cross in Devin is one of the numerous around Slovakia. Photo courtesy: Nina Mikova

Bulgarian Cultural Institute in Bratislava

December 5, 2017

Vania Radeva – the enigmatic Director of the Bulgarian Cultural Institute in Bratislava – was the first person I had the pleasure to meet upon my arrival in Slovakia. Archaeology and comparative religious studies from the Oxford University, are among her numerous academic degrees. What strikes most about Vanya is her friendly welcoming attitude and passion for facilitating the cultural exchange between Slovakia and Bulgaria.

Wihat and when is taking place at the Bulgarian Cultural Institute in Bratislava can be followed at this link.
