In my view there is something fascinating about clocks going backwards. From this movie on the topic to coming across such a clock in a least expected place. I can’t help thinking what if we could go through certain events in our lives in reverse order. From the effect to the cause… will be … is … was …

What time is it? Was it? Or will it be?

Some people seem to be at the right place at the right time. Photo courtesy below: Steve Hall. The photo was taken on 9 February 2017 in one of the prime ski resorts in Europe – Bansko, Bulgaria. I have never seen halo myself but these “incredible rainbows at the Plateau this morning” shared by Steve, made me speechless.

Anna Karenina

February 6, 2017

Great books sometimes turn into great movies. Anna Karenina (2013 TV series) is an outsanding production. Both casting and acting were superb. Snowy Russia and the story lines of Anna and Levin in Tolstoy’s grand work. And the eternal topics: search of real love, faith in God and the meaning of life. One can’t agree more that: “All happy families are alike. But every unhappy family is unhappy in its own way.”

Journey into the Past

Stefan Zweig – the master of psychological novellas in his “Journey into the Past” and other stories keeps your mind alert through every page. Involving plots, effective writing style.

“Water has its boiling point, metals their melting points. The elements of the spirit behave the same way. Happiness can reach a pitch so great that any further happiness can’t be felt. Pain, despair, humiliation, disgust, and fear are no different. Once the vessel is full, the world can’t add to it.”
