The Age of Adaline

The Age of Adaline – the idea of staying forever young and eternal life, however appealing to the imagination, feels a bit awkward even in a movie. A phantasmagoric drama rendered in a very human way.

The topic of aging – be it as in ‘The Curious Case of Benjamin Button’ – aging in reverse or not aging at all and forever staying at 29 as in the Age of Adaline – makes you remember Jonathan Swift’s words: “No wise man ever wished to be younger.”
