A form of life

February 23, 2014

Bizarre form of life, bizarre characters, bizarre story-line – that is Amélie Nothomb’s ‘Life Form‘ in a nutshell. Excess being just as unbearable as deficit – how very true not only for the situations one comes across in the book but in everyday life.

While reading the book Blaise Pascal’s words: ‘Man is neither angel nor brute, and the unfortunate thing is that he who would act the angel acts the brute.’ keep on striking the right chord. The ending being just as bizarre as the story all along.
