Cheers to WordPress!

May 28, 2013

WordPress has just turned 10 – an enigMA.TTic source says. I have been proudly blogging with them for 5 years next month. Time indeed flies. Big thank you, Guys! A cheerful post a day, keeps the world a better place. Cheers with my favourite unususal looking glasses on this occasion to 10 times 10!

Hummingbird (2013) – if it wasn’t for many of the brutal scenes, well, dealing with the criminal underground world, I guess, it’s hard to avoid, this movie was moving in its own way.  A war veteran in the role of an avenging angel and an altruistic nun make a charming union. Still wonder if the title relates to the humming sound of the hummingbirds’ wings.

Four fingers

May 24, 2013

I just learnt that there is a saying:  ‘Between truth and falsehood there are four fingers.’ And wondered where it comes from.

The difference between truth and false in three words or less. It’s  ‘four fingers’ – here’s the story.

Looking forward to ‘Chez Justine’

In response to Justine’s invitation for sharing the places in Sofia where I take guests from abroad to, I have to say, it varies depending on where they come from, is this their first visit or not, etc, but in a nutshell:

  • A quick tour around town.
  • Coffee – anywhere impromptu where we feel like it.
  • Lunch/Dinner – depending on preferences. Or at home.

Simple, natural, always different and open to suggestions. And if Justine opens a place some day, a definite stop would be “Chez Justine” 😉

What a match!

Sharing the same dreams…
And in no fight for place under the sun…

They say you are what you are looking for.
The fightful for fights.
The loveful for love.

Look and you shall find. The beauty around. In every minute detail.

The Big Wedding

May 17, 2013

The Big Wedding (2013) – big title, big names and yet all these ninety minutes failed me.  It was for memories of  Diane Keaton in ”Something’s Gotta Give’ that prompted me in seeing this movie but it was neither romantic, nor much fun. Messy plot, messy family relationships. “It’s never too late to start acting like a family.” Sometimes it is, even in movies.
