Other Colours

April 2, 2012

Other Colours – Orhan Pamuk’s colorful world with autobiographical elements from childhood memories, favourite books, authors, views, feelings and more. At one point in the book he asks himself who had influenced him more – the portrait of someone or the person himself. I am asking myself the same question from what I have read by him (Snow, New Life, My Name is Red, etc.) – do his books influence me more or do the portraits of himself (Istanbul, Other Colours).
