Emotional reasoning

March 29, 2011

Via a friend: “The difference between emotion and reason is that emotion leads to action while reason leads to conclusions.”

<- Which part of your brain is the dominant one 🙂

In favour of emotional reasoning or reasonable emotions. Or simply being (un)reasonably emotion(less)… whoooops … emotionally (un)reasonable.

March 25, 2011

An exhibition of kinetic sculpture, where art objects react to sound by moving. The ‘Eccentric’ art object (on the photo) was mind-boggling.

Kinetic‘s art makes you perceive art objects with different senses.  The exhibition can be seen at Gallery 11 Industrialna, Sofia, till 9 April 2011.

Super Moon

March 19, 2011

Super Moon – the close approach by the Moon to the Earth. Time to pack since the moon will be only 221,567 miles away today. Earth, Moon and Sun are all in a line, so it should be easy and quick 🙂

But where will the little Teddy Bear snug tonight if the moon is full and all round?

Linguistic chaos

March 16, 2011

Different languages use different expressions  to indicate that something is totally incomprehensible. In English they say “it’s all Greek to me”, for the Germans anything that is incomprehensible is “all Spanish”, while for the French “it’s all Chinese”. In Bulgarian we say “It’s dark India to me”. The incomprehensible expression in more languages.

And when you think of it until Babel all were speaking a single language and nothing was “all Chinese” or “all Greek” to anybody.
