I-the-Child

May 30, 2010

In the eve of the children’s day, the Bulgarian children’s portal Az-Deteto (I the Child) turned 8 years old. It was celebrated with lots of games, competitions and fun in a lively atmosphere at the Sofia Zoo. And each child won a prize! On the Photo: Alice from the other Wonderland 🙂

And the cake, cake, CAKE above – it was SO delicious!

10 :-)

They say: ‘Your happiness score rises when you stop chasing happiness and start choosing happiness.’ Inspired by this quiz from Oprah’s site, on a 0-10 scale, 10 seems like a reasonable choice 🙂

@ François Pignon marathon

May 28, 2010

The French movie recipe when a woman quits her husband for her lover inevitably creates laughable situations.

L’emmerdeur (The Pain in the Neck) – instead of completing his mission of taking an important witness’ life, a hitman saves the pain in the neck François Pignon’s one and gets into unexpected series of troubles.

In Le dîner de cons (The Dinner Game) – an imbecile circle invites imbeciles to weekly dinners. The most imbecile invitee wins the title ‘King of the Imbeciles’. I find it hard to decide who were more imbecile – the invitees or the inviters. François Pignon at his best.

New World Symphony

May 27, 2010

Enjoyed a fantastic New Symphony Orchestra performance of Dvořák’s New World Symphony on the occasion of AmCham‘s 15th anniversary in Bulgaria. The Symphony that is said that Neil Armstrong took a recording of to the Moon during the Apollo 11 mission in 1969.

On fairy tale wave

May 27, 2010

A collection of Finnish, Irish, Russian … fairy tales tuned me on black and white wave these days. Amazing how tales have features and plots in common with each other no matter where they come from. In fairy tales dragons often do not last long. And good creatures triumph and laugh last. Like in life.

Istanbul 2010

May 25, 2010

A delightful long weekend at Istanbul 2010 – European Capital of Culture, where at all times the vibrant atmosphere of the city offers a lot do, see and enjoy. Hopefully next time walking through the winding streets of Tophane, Çukurcuma Street No: 24 will be unveiled, unveiling all the objects related to ‘The Museum of Innocence’.

In the meantime, however, a number of small art galleries don’t fail to surprise with provocative ideas, like  PiARRWORKS Istanbul – ‘If you kill the devil in me, you will also kill the angel’. More sights to enjoy further down … the narrow spectacular streets.
