I often reach for passages from Madlen Algafari‘s books. Her poetry in Bulgarian has a therapeutic effect on me. Wondered how the excerpt from the poem dedicated to her grandfather would read in English [transl.  – mine]

When you are ready to pay the price,
The Universe grants you the desired!
And had you lost your freedom,
When you get over it, it is granted back to you! …

Когато си готов да заплатиш цената,
Вселената желаното ти праща!
