Favourite mockumentary

June 30, 2009

Any time I am in an odd mood a Woody Allen movie gets me into an even [odder] one. Re-seeing ‘Take the Money and Run’ for one of my favourite scenes – the self-made soap gun and the rain … mockumentary … perfect blend 🙂

Feast of Saints Peter and Paul

Pravoslavie

Today the Eastern Orthodox Church commemorates the Feast of Saints Peter and Paul. I am reminded of Jesus when he said to Peter, “I assure you, today, this very night, before the rooster crows twice, you will deny Me three times” (Mark 14:30). And Peter did. But eventually Peter became a stronger servant. With their lives the holy apostles have shown, that sinners can overcome their imperfections.

As Peter is among the most popular names in Bulgaria, Happy Name Day to All celebrating today.

Bowling

Galaxy_2Bowling. Rolling. Scoring. For me it’s all in the moment when the mind releases the ball and it starts rolling down the lane… Strike 😉 or Spare. Some care. Striking strikes. Cheers to bowlers who rolled up at Galaxy Bowling (1, Bulgaria Blvd, Sofia).

They say ‘Every cloud has a silver lining’. The dark clouds look stormily threatening. And a Persian proverb goes: ‘A blind person who sees is better than a seeing person who is blind’. B*l*i*n*k*i*n*g. *linking. **inking.

Still blinking...from the silver...not the clouds...

Song(s)

June 22, 2009

Shared thoughts in a recent comment made me discover a song which impressed me – ‘ I Can’t Forget ‘…

Thanks to Norod for Gibran’s  ‘Song of the Soul‘, as well.

Bottom line: a line on Gibran.

PS. I dedicate this post to Someone whom I knew only virtually. That Someone had a blog which I was following. One day clicking on the blog’s link I got a message that the author has deleted the blog. My first thought was that something went technically wrong. As that blog author had left comments in my own blog I contacted the author sharing my concerns. The author responded and shared the reasons. That was a blog I enjoyed surfing through.

On Song(s) … that one is my choice for that Someone.
