On cookies

In some places around (restaurants, cafes) with the coffee one gets a piece of paper with a message on it (sort of Fortune Cookie). What’s in it? Curiosity in my case always takes the upper hand. Today’s ‘- The best way to make a fire with two sticks is to make sure one is a match’ – made me wonder on sticks & matches, and the poly semantics of both ‘stick’ & ‘match’ in English…and the ways of making things in general…(other than fires).
