Impressions of books and movies differ, however with ’Catch-22‘ the catch for me was more or less the same.  A logical mind catching illogical absurdities. A moral soul catching immoral absurdities. Catch-22 as a catch phrase reminded me of a workshop’s excercise, called the ’Prisoner’s dilemma‘ and particpants’ reactions.

Some while ago walking in the park around the Sveti Sedmochislenitsi Church (Sofia) named after Cyril and Methodius, and their five disciples – Kliment, Naum, Gorazd, Sava and Angelarii, I was awed by the layer upon layer of history over time  - a pagan temple, an Ottoman mosque, a church.

Today The Bayraklı Mosque in the Bulgarian town of Samokov awed me with the fact that it was decorated by Bulgarian painters and somewhere near the entrance they say there is a scheme of a church.

On 19 November 2009 Mail.bg celebrated its 10th anniversary at ‘Timeless’ Club, Sofia. It was dynamically live(ly) to see how the company has developed over the years and what novelties it is planning to launch shortly.

Mr. Mail.bg reminded how the webmail’s logo looked at the beginning.

One of my favourite Hermann Hesse’s books is ‘Narcissus and Goldmund‘ – the thinker versus the artist. Friends whose paths part … but years later circumstances bring together again. Both the artist and the thinker in search of themselves in different ways. A writing that relates to me in some profound way – the misleading names of the protagonists, the dualism all throughout the book… the search.
