An old Irish quote comes to mind: “There are many types of ships. There are wooden ships, plastic ships and metal ships. But the best and most important types of ships are friendships.”
Unsinkable is an adjective that matches well in English in the above sense.
Boyan Donev’s ‘Prayer’ visualizes what I tried to ship in words.

Reni, thanks for the thought… and for the link to Boyan Donev’s drawings. I received one of his drawings, the Candle, as a present from friends… friends are like candles… emanate a little and fragile shimmering… which still breaks the dark of the night.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts, Eli. I have several of Boyan Donev’s works and I like them all, each provoking different deep feelings and thoughts.

Raina,
It is always a pleasure to be in touch with you and it is always enriching. You just made me think about friendship, about ships, about ports and directions. If you look at the picture, you will see that this particular ship is coming.

Kate, thanks for your comment. As usual your train of thought made me see the ship in a different light – [friend]ships, ports, directions.

Hello Rayn@,
I came across your blog somehow accidenatally but has been following it It’s like a breath of fresh air in the stuffy wordy world around. There is something childish about it and yet it is not childish at all.
I also like the exchange you keep with your commentators – not much in quantity but quality is what matters.
It took me a long time to drop a line. I am sort of the consumer-type. The ship you chose – it is moving!
With best wishes,
J. B. Andrews

@Dear J.B. Andrews, thank you for your kind note. I liked the ‘moving’ statement in your last paragraph – read it both as an adjective and a verb
That’s exactly the reason I enjoy keeping a blog – writing in there and getting some feedback. Thanks again and keep on surfing by. Fondly, Rayn@
@ oooom – thanks!

Rayna,
Thank you for handling this theme so nicely.
The two hands protect, shield, support and are supported from what is behind the hands. Only with two hands we can make something that contains something, for example friendship. The canvas is white, a sign for peace.
Thank you for this nice piece, and regards from Switzerland, where your blog is studied too.
